Changes in attachment orientations across the transition to parenthood

Article Abstract:

Attachment theory of men and women describes that the systematic changes should be most evident across stressful life transition. An analysis on this attachment between men and women, after the women entered parenthood, reveals the need to extend the research in novel directions.

Less negative=more positive? Social discrimination as avoidance or approach

Article Abstract:

An introduction to a motivational approach to ingroup favoritism based on regulatory focus theory (RFT) is given. It is suggested that if an individual self-categorizes as a group member, resource allocations to one's group would be based on the mechanisms of self-regulation.

Successfully challenging fundamentalist beliefs results in increased death awareness

Article Abstract:

The cognition of death is made stronger by the religious belief as observed among fundamentalist Christians. The terror management theory is applied to demonstrate the effect of fundamentalism on death-thought.
