Defining social work for the 21st century: The international federation of social workers revised definition of social work

Article Abstract:

The International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW) adopted a new joint international definition of social work, together with the International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW) in June 2001.The definition embraces both traditional social work activities and social development, and addresses social work knowledge, values and practice in an age of globalization.

Reflections on social work's identity: international themes in Italian practitioners' representation of social work

Article Abstract:
