Factors in the integration process of adolescent immigrants: The case of Ethiopian Jews in Israel

Article Abstract:

The migration of Ethiopian Jews to Israel resulted in many difficulties in integrating and settling into the Israeli society. The issues related to the economic stress, cultural and ethnic diversity, multiculturism and measures to be taken for Ethiopian adolescents immigrants through a comprehensive social work intervention model are discussed.

Job security and the perception of unemployment among immigrants: contribution of governmental policies and cultural factors

Article Abstract:

The occupational expectations of Russian immigrants in Israel and other Israelis and their perception of the economic situation in their new homeland are studied. The study shows that the highly supportive government employment policies for new immigrants enable the newcomers to integrate themselves into the work market.
