Article Abstract:

Samuel P. Huntington's book, 'The Clash of Civilizations and the Remaking of the World Order,' examines interests, organizations and power in attempting to form a basis for world order. Hunting has attributed social problems, such as moral decadence, to the absence of ordering vision and has suggested the replacement of the term 'the Free World' with 'the West.' He argues that the term incorporates people coming from different cultures and united by their favorable place in the world order.

Article Abstract:

It is questioned why improved communications and cross boundary movements have not stimulated transnational economy and trade, which continue to grow disproportionately amid contemporary globalisation. It is argued that 'globalisation from below' is enabling citizens from less affluent countries to build trading relationships through cheap transport and communications.
