Following the money trail: Terrorist financing and government responses in Southeast Asia

Article Abstract:

The comparative study of ten nations in Southeast Asia that demonstrates how terrorist groups in the region finance their activities and how governments combat terrorism financing is presented. Findings reveal that terrorist groups are funding their source of finance in the region through criminal activities, charities and commercial activities.

The modifications and new developments in terrorism in relation with the total progress attained in the global war on terrorism (GWOT) are presented. Moreover, the main attention is on the new developments in Saudi Arabia and Iraq, to highlight Al Qaeda's new policies.
