Psychometric evaluation of the situational confidence questionnaire in adolescents: fitting a graded item response model

Article Abstract:

The Situational Confidence Questionnaire (SCQ) is an effective measure for evaluating alcohol intake among adolescents. The SCQ assesses self-efficacy as a part of the treatment of problem involvement with alcohol. Administration of the SCQ to 662 adolescents for examining its psychometric properties shows that eight subscales are unidimensional. The reliability coefficients were high and were based on the item response theory and classical measurement theory.
