Major depression associated with earlier alcohol relapse in treated teens with AUD

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted to examine whether the common diagnosis of major depressive disorder (MDD) is co-related with early relapse to alcohol usage amongst adolescents with alcohol use disorder (AUD). It is suggested that with MDD being prevalent, it has an association with early relapse to alcohol usage amongst adolescents with AUD.

Joint trajectory analysis of treated adolescents' alcohol use and symptoms over 1 year

Article Abstract:

Studies are conducted on heterogeneity in treated adolescents' patterns of alcohol use and symptoms over a one- year follow up. Alcohol use trajectories and alcohol symptom trajectories are identified and studied and the most frequent joint outcome of alcohol use and symptom trajectory is identified.

Alcohol relapse as a function of relapse definition in a clinical sample of adolescents

Article Abstract:

Different operational definitions of alcohol relapse were compared in a clinical sample of adolescents who presented for outpatient treatment of alcohol use disorder (AUD). Results indicate that relapse definitions make a difference in estimates of rates and times to first relapse.
