Multiple family groups: an alternative for reducing disruptive behavioral difficulties of urban children

Article Abstract:

A multiple family group intervention is discussed as an alternative to individual or family therapy for treatment of disruptive behavioral problems of low-income minority children. Topics include outcome measures, data analyses, involvement in mental health services, reductions in child behavioral difficulties, parental descriptions of impact of services, and applications to social work practice.

Treatment of antisocial behavior in adolescent inpatients: behavioral changes and client satisfaction

Article Abstract:

The effectiveness of long-term inpatient treatment within a structured behavioral program in the treatment of adolescents suffering from antisocial personality disorders is discussed. Unit staff recorded the daily frequency of 27 inappropriate behaviors exhibited by individual clients, and time-series data on specific problem behaviors were analyzed with change scores and graphic displays.

Evaluating behavioral treatment of disruptive classroom behaviors of an adolescent with autism

A study of the behavioral treatment of a 16-year-old male with autism with a history of disruptive classroom behavior is discussed. Key components of the intervention package are analyzed.
