Provincial universalism: the landscape of knowledge production in an era of globalization

Article Abstract:

The politics of the international division of intellectual labor is explored in an era of globalization. The knowledge produced by scholars, which is deemed to be 'theoretical' and of universal applicability, is one of the reasons mentioned for the prevailing division of intellectual labor.
