A-POC a fashion label and the manufacturing process behind it started by a Japanese designer Miyake in the mid 1990's is described. Issey Mi yake has a studio that employs the jacquard to produce more complex designs and experiment radically with all of the possible variables like the thickness of thread, the density of the weave, and the shape of the garment.

Government officials and diplomats have tested the next-generation of passport. The passport would have a silicon component, a microchip that stores photo identification and other information, which could be accessed wirelessly and analyzed by facial-recognition software.
