Seeking relief under the convention against torture

Article Abstract:

The United Nations prohibits the extradition of any person to another state where that person will be in danger of being tortured or put to death. The UN defines torture as any act which inflicts severe pain or suffering, physical or mental, is intentionally inflicted for the purpose of extracting information or a confession, or intimidation or coercion by a third person for any reason based on discrimination of any kind. Relief under this law can potentially become a frequently invoked remedy under US immigration laws. Those who are ineligible for asylum may seek relief under this Convention.

Dialogue replacement for student productions

Article Abstract:

A technique on dialogue replacement for student film production is presented. The technique is as accurate as automatic dialogue replacement (ADR) though no specialized equipment is employed. Meanwhile, it is also advisable to select takes. Selecting takes either through digital editing platform or analog method would assure that scratch track lines and replacement lines areplayed at the same time. Replacement of the location sync sound for student production could result in a better sound track.
