Sociology of law in Brazil: a critical approach

Article Abstract:

Brazilian sociolegal research has developed in two largely mutually exclusive directions. Sociology of law in Britain

Article Abstract:

The separation identified by British sociologists in the 1970s between "sociology of law" and "socio-legal studies" has widened. The first is theoretically oriented, the second based on empiricism, and continued robustness in this field is best ensured by greater synthesis between these strands.
