Spiritual involvement as a predictor to completing a Salvation Army substance abuse treatment program

Article Abstract:

A single moderator paradigm is used to investigate the successful completion at a faith-based organization that has provided residential substance abuse treatment services, especially for African Americans. Advanced statistical methods, such as pattern recognition and cluster analysis, provide valuable line of inquiry for human services workers as they plan for the emerging strengths, preferences and needs of their clients.

The development and preliminary validation of the Adolescent Domain Screening Inventory: A substance use prevention tools

Article Abstract:

A study that was carried out to create a psychometrically sound instrument to assess problematic life domains for adolescents is discussed. It was seen that the Adolescent Domain Screening Inventory (ADSI) test is not sufficient to fully assess adolescents as it does not identify problematic factors but only domains and needs further testing before use.
