Scraping refers to automatically collecting information from another Web Site and using those information for sometimes disreputable activities. Online firms have contested that scraping violates copyright infringement laws. The pros and cons of scraping or data importing are discussed.

Copy protection is a crime ... against humanity. Society is based on bending the rules

Digital rights management, as it is now being formulated, sounds reasonable but is not. Laws are not interpreted well when they are regarded as absolutes, and copy protection intepreted by computers is rigid and irrational.
