The impact of multiculturalism versus color-blindness on racial bias

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to compare the influences of color-blindness and multiculturalism on racial attitudes using both an explicit measure and relatively unobtrusive reaction time measure. The result showed that exposure to the color-blind perspective generated greater automatic racial bias relative to the multicultural perspective.

"Math is hard!" The effect of gender priming on women's attitudes

Article Abstract:

The effect of a self-relevant category prime on women's attitudes towards the gender-stereotyped domains of arts and mathematics were analyzed in three studies. Undergraduate women's attitudes were focused towards these domains as women continued to be under-represented in gender-stereotyped fields such as math and science.

Effects on situational power on automatic racial prejudice

Article Abstract:

The influence of situational power on automatic racial prejudice is examined. Results reveals that both the racial composition of the anticipated dyad and participant's situational roles influenced automatic racial attitudes. It also discusses about the implications for diversity efforts and attitude change.
