The shape of things to come; the bell curve, that beautiful form of regularity is getting turned upside down

Various economic and social phenomena seem to be following a curve that looks like a bell curve distribution turned upside down. It is suggested that this curve, which is low in the center and high on the sides, be called the 'well curve.'
