Tommy dearest

Article Abstract:

Ken Russel, famed director of the movie version of the Who's rock Opera "Tommy", is the perfect person for the movie. "Tommy" is a psychodrama following a physically abused, chemically vandalized and sexually molested man, but the 1975 film's animating spirit was Ann-Margaret, Tommy's mother. Russel's other works are discussed as well.
