Understanding comorbidity between PTSD and substance use disorders: two preliminary investigations

Article Abstract:

Individuals having comorbid posttraumatic stress disorders (PTSD) and substance use disorders are likely to suffer a strong traumatic incident such as rape and physical assault and show remarkably more PTSD symptomatology than individuals with PTSD only. The use of substance and withdrawal possibly have a considerable effect on the presentation of PTSD which have to be considered while conducting assignments.
