Article Abstract:

Amazonian tribes are using GPS and cartographic expertise provided to them by the Amazon Conservation Team to identify and map their communal lands. The tribes are also using Google Earth to identify encroachment into their properties or runoffs on their rivers from mines.

A prison break adventure out of the Tower of London makes use of handheld computers and GPS to immerse players in the year 1716. The game is another way to add another dimension to locations especially historic sites.
