Which came first, the telecommuting or the residential relocation? An empirical analysis of causality

Article Abstract:

An empirical examination of the casual relationship between telecommuting and residential relocation is conducted considering the advantages and disadvantages of telecommuting. The evidences support the hypothesis that telecommuting is beneficial for travel reduction policies, with telecommuting often following the relocations that lengthen the commute.

Psychosocial treatments for battered women: a review of empirical research

Article Abstract:

Practice research into the effectiveness of psychosocial treatments for battered women is analyzed. An overview of empirical literature on treatment outcomes is provided and 9 studies are reviewed as to type and length of intervention, number of subjects, study design, findings, and study limitations.

A comparison of a vote count and a meta-analysis review of intervention research with adult cancer patients

Two methods of psychosocial intervention research with cancer patients, vote count and meta-analysis review, are compared as to usefulness. Topics include the methodology used to compare methods, research results, and implications of each method for practice.
