You can't go home again: women and criminal recidivism

Article Abstract:

This study examines interviews with women criminals who had completed multiple prison sentences to investigate social factors that contribute to criminal recidivism and reincarceration. Findings indicate that relapses in drug use, employment difficulties, and relationships with family members play a role in post-prison adjustment and criminal behavior.
