The Caribbean is a famous tourist attraction for its sunken treasures and undiscovered shipwrecks. Excellent weather conditions and the allurement of hidden treasure are enough justifications to assure the continued influx of tourists and recreational divers to the Caribbean Area.

Historic wrecks offer finders precious stones, metals and antique objects. Ten unlocated wrecks are enumerated, including last known locations. Proper plans, finances and equipment, as well as knowledge of laws governing treasure hunting are important.

The ten richest undiscovered wrecks in Latin America

There are at least ten shipwrecks of early Spanish ships that have remained undiscovered. These ships, which once plied the Acapulco-Manila trade route, were laden with a bounty of treasure looted from the New World.
