Rapture of the deep: the depth at which nitrogen narcosis affects a diver may vary from one dive to the next

Article Abstract:

The danger of nitrogen narcosis as related to breathing compressed air while skin diving is that it creates a feeling of euphoria. It also causes confusion, agitation and anxiety. The diver should stop the descent upon feeling the symptoms and ascend a few feet.
