Techniques on how to edit while filming underwater are presented. The most important is being selective about what to shoot. Other techniques include keeping the action moving from scene to scene, creating a strategy before the actual filming, defining the film's purpose and sequencing shots.

Shooting video with sunlight

Sunlight is an essential element of underwater videography during nighttime. The key is to shoot the video on overcast days when the sun is low to avoid overexposure to orange. The harsh contrast between bright and dark backgrounds can also be minimized by using manual exposure control.
