The saga of the Maravillas: treasure salvors are still searching for the mother lode of this Spanish galleon

The Spanish galleon Nuestra Senora de las Maravillas sank off the coast of the Little Bahama Bank, Bahamas in Jan 4, 1656, as it carried treasure valued at $1.6 billion today. There have been several attempts to recover the bulk of the treasure since the ship's bow section was found in 1972.

Scallops: savory shellfish from the sea

Rock scallops are abundantly found in California sea waters and increasingly being sought after by scuba divers due to their delectable taste. The two techniques for scallop harvesting are rock hauling and meat cutting. Preparing, cooking and serving rock scallops are presented.
