Using dive tables and dive computers safely

Article Abstract:

Divers should follow the limits set by their dive tables and computers. This is because there is lesser risk of decompression sickness when divers properly used tables and computers. However, safety stops and slower ascent rates are recommended for repetitive divers.

Update on diabetes

The symptoms of diabetes, which range from dizziness, disorientation and seizures, are highly dangerous in diving. However, the introduction of new portable blood sugar testing kits greatly reduces the risks associated with diabetic attacks.

Smoking and diving - is it really dangerous?

Article Abstract:

Skin divers who are chronic smokers are at risk whenever they dive. Chronic smokers have abnormal airways, higher levels of CO and are highly susceptible to coronary artery disease.
