'96 Olympics

The running careers of Horace Asenfelter, who won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in the 1952 Olympics, and Nan Davis, who hopes to enter the 10,000 meters and marathon competitions in the 1996 Olympics, are highlighted.

Bob Schul had won every 5,000 meter race in 1964, and had predicted a win in the Olympics as well. The story is told how he became the only US winner of the Olympic 5,000 in Tokyo on a muddy track.
