A 7,000-mile sprint around the horn

Sports journalists were given the opportunity to share in the excitement of a sailboat race towards Cape Horn which was participated in by nine boats including the Chessie Racing boat operated by Dee Smith. The race covered 6,670 miles and commenced from Auckland, New Zealand.
