A different kind of paradise

Article Abstract:

The Owyhee badlands in Southwestern Oregon and Idaho are situated in a high-desert wilderness area with few trails. The region is remote and rarely explored. Backpackers should come prepared with maps, compass and plenty of survival gear. Three different expeditions are described.
