After the fall

Article Abstract:

More hunters are injured in falls than from more highly-publicized accidental shootings, and most of the falls take place when using a tree stand. In fact, a survey indicates that over one-third of the hunters who use such stands will fall at least once. Safety precautions are discussed.

Search and rescue: how to help the people who might have to save you

Article Abstract:

Hunters can avoid being the object of search and rescue teams by being prepared, having communications equipment and not hunting alone. If a hunter does get lost, he can aid searchers by leaving a detailed message and staying in place. Other tips are given.
