An All-Season Palace

Equipment and supllies ranging from tents to shoes needed for outdoor recreation is evaluated. The results of field tests conducted on the products are provided with focus on durability and performance. Some featured items include the 40-square-foot Marmot Sanctum tent priced at $399, Sundog's Action Telezoom Case and Harness for camera equipment and Cloudveil's Serendipity Jacket priced at $240 and Symmetry Pants for $180.

Mississippi's Black Creek

Article Abstract:

Mississippi's Black Creek in the De Soto National Forest is a calm, beautiful place to float downstream or hike around. The stream flows through the Deep Creek Wilderness Area and is a class one stream except during heavy rain. Many types of fish and land animals populate the area.

California's Henry Coe

Article Abstract:

Henry W. Coe State Park in the Diablo Range in California is 80,000 acres of land with 35 miles of trails and 200 miles of fire roads. The terrain is varied and the trail system is well constructed for any length of hiking trip and can take hikers up to an elevation of 3,600 feet.
