Bargain gloves

The $10 Cycle Pro Women's Half-Finger ATB, the $13 Tinley Cycling Crochet and the $10 Trek Tradition Leather all scored high ratings in an evaluation of 20 bicycle gloves. Terry cloth gloves are the softest, but lycra models protect against sunburn. Tips on how to evaluate gloves are given.

Straightening a pretzeled wheel

A deformed bicycle wheel can be repaired by bending the rim little by little until it more or less returns to it original condition. Cyclists may also hit the wheel against the ground or lever the rim against a tree or a fence.
