Article Abstract:

Italian officials have charged race team owner Frank Williams with manslaughter in the death of race car driver Ayrton Senna. The court says that Williams knew that he was putting Senna's life in danger. The case should be dismissed, but automobile racing may be faced with legislation and more suits.

Bird man of Indiana: drag racing's winningest driver retires to the rain forest

Article Abstract:

Bob Glidden, who had won 85 races and 10 championships in 25 years, was drag racing's most dominant driver until he decided to retire at the beginning of the 1997 season. Glidden owns some 17 macaws and plans to devote much of his time to carrying for the birds and creating a 'rain forest' for them.
