That sinking feeling

A sailor shares his experience of surviving the unpleasant situations of sinking boats. He feels that every skipper or any one member of the crew needs to be aware of the whereabouts and nature of all through-hull fittings in order to be safe on the boat when there are flooding situations.

Beyond Darwin

Article Abstract:

A three man crew discovered Cocos Keeling Islands, 2000 miles west of Darwin, a beautiful blue lagoon surrounded by three islands covered in palm trees. Cocos Keeling was a pleasant surprise, a wonderful place to relax and had adequate amenities for sailors.
