The statistical modelling of the dimensional differences of manufactured parts by the Gaussian bell curve is reviewed. The formula Cpk as a process capability index is one often used by process engineers. It integrates the effects of the process mean and standard deviationof the process. The manufacturing process mean is dependent on time while the mean variation remains constant.

Sri Lanka is pursuing an aggressive privatization program, which is expected to raise between $2 billion to $3 billion once completed. State-owned enterprises that may move to the private sector include firms in the petroleum, electricity, and insurance industry.
