Intraindividual variability of self-evaluations in the physical domain: prevalence, consequences, and antecedents

Article Abstract:

This article examines the self-evaluations of students, ranging from 12 to 15 years of age, in a physical education class. The effect of a team building program on the self-conceptions of grade 6 and 7 physical education students

Article Abstract:

Studies reveal that self-conceptions of grade 6 and 7 students are affected directly by team building programs. One group of students participated in team building physical education, while the second group performed the regular PE curriculum. Results indicate that team-oriented programs improve student perceptions of their athletic competence, social acceptance and global self-worth.
