Schwinn chairman Chuck Ferries helped rescue the financially-strapped bicycle company in 1993 and is intent on resurrecting its one-time all-american image. Ferries is a former US Ski Team member who participated in the 1960 and 1964 Winter Olympics, he also coached the women's US Team.
