Article Abstract:

The loss of Great American boat and the rescue of Rich Wilson and Pettengill made the international news and Wilson went on a lecture tour of schools to utter about the events but also about the importance of understanding history, math and science. The courage to act positively affected the others and Wilson successfully combined adventure of sailing with an educational mission.

Article Abstract:

One of the most vicious hurricane seasons caused billions of dollars in damage, rendered people homeless, destroyed boats, and several people lost their lives. The National Atmospheric Administration forecast for an above-average level of activity for the 2004 Atlantic hurricane season proved true.
