Article Abstract:

This article examines treatment options for patients with vestibular dysfunction, a problem that impacts postural control. Topics addressed include the anatomy and physiology of the vestibular system, how the central processing system interacts with the vestibular system, peripheral and central disorders, and how to examine patients with these disorders.

A 1-day maximal lactate steady-state assessment protocol for trained runners

Article Abstract:

A successful attempt using 12 endurance athletes to design a single-session protocol for determining the maximum lactate steady state (MLSS) using HR, RPE, bf and race pace as predictors is described. MLSS determination usually involves several days of testing.
