PVC pipes and fittings are used to eliminate the torque problem associated with the 90-degree elbows in submersible centrifugal bilge pumps. The short length of the pipes allows them to fit exactly with the pump outlet. PVC pipes can also withstand the damage caused by salty and oily water.
