Steel vs. aluminum

Article Abstract:

In construction and maintenance of metal boats only the proper alloys that are strong enough to resist corrosion should be used. Realistically only steel and aluminum are used, but while aluminum is light and malleable, only true marine alloy stands up with it in salt water, and steel is cheaper and stronger but is sensitive to damage around sharp corners created in construction.
