Effects of a commercial herbal-based formula on exercise performance in cyclists

Article Abstract:

A study to examine the effects of a commercially available multi-ingredient herbal based formula containing as its primary ingredients Cordyceps sinesis and Rhodiola rosea on oxygen uptake in 17 amateur cyclists is presented. Results of the experiment can be concluded to show that a 2-week ingestion schema of a commercial herbal-based formula is insufficient to garner positive changes in cycling performance.
