Exercise training-induced changes in coagulation factors in older adults

Article Abstract:

Several studies are conducted to examine the various changes induced in the coagulation factors in the older adults because of any form of exercise training, as the coagulation cascade plays a very important role in the development of a cardiovascular disease (CVD). The results show that endurance training highly affects the coagulation cascade, as it reduces the coagulation activity in the common pathway at rest by increasing the activation potential of the intrinsic pathway.

Cardiovascular response to exercise in women

Article Abstract:

Certain gender-specific factors such as differences in some hormonal levels, menstrual cycle variability, and physical characteristics may influence the cardiovascular response to exercise in women. It is described that the most consistent gender difference in cardiovascular responses during submaximal exercise and at peak effort is the lower stroke volume (SV) of women and the smaller increase in SV from rest to exercise.

Exercise and acute cardiovascular events: Placing the risks into perspective

Article Abstract:

The potential cardiovascular complications of exercises, their pathological substrate and their incidence are discussed and strategies to reduce the complications are suggested. Results observed that physical fitness should be maintained through regular physical activity to reduce events because disproportionate number of events occurs in least physically active persons performing unaccustomed physical activity.
