Six irons designed for the average golfer are discussed. Steel shafts are less expansive than those with graphite. Karsten's ISI irons come in many sizes and materials from $800 for stainless steel to $1,040-$1,310 for those with graphite. Prices and brief descriptions are given for each iron.

Several irons are described, including golf clubs with big-butt shafts and irons with titanium faces and stainless-steel shells. Callaway Golf's Big Bertha Gold iron has aluminum bronze-alloy heads. A set of eight clubs costs between $1,240 and $1,480, depending of the type of shaft.

New products for playing short game rounds in golf are described. The products include a new set of putters from Titleist and wedges from Karsten, Yonex, Snake Eyes, Cleveland and Carbite Golf equipment manufacturers.
