Frank Thomas: the White Sox first baseman came strikingly close to the triple crown

Frank Thomas of the Chicago White Sox believes he had a real chance to lead the American League in home runs, runs batted in and batting average in the 1994 baseball season, but a strike eliminated the last 49 games. Thomas was named the American League's most valuable player in 1993.

How to make the Super Bowl better

Article Abstract:

Suggestions for improving the Super Bowl include doing away with the traditional NFC/AFC matchup and letting the best teams play; holding the game one week, instead of two, after the playoffs; and playing on one team's home field. These and other suggestions are discussed.

The perfect season: 1972

Article Abstract:

The Miami Dolphins went undefeated in the 1972 season, beating the Washington Redskins in Super Bowl VII to extend their record to 17-0. The Dolphins achieved their undefeated season despite having a largely-unknown defense and an offense that seemed bland to some.
