Gelcoat detachment and sub-gelcoat voids

Article Abstract:

Sunlight and normal wear and tear would eventually take a toll on the gelcoat (the boats protective layer) and therefore a regimen of regular cleaning and waxing is to be followed to prevent premature aging. A series of remedies are offered for treating a variety of gelcoat misadventures such as scratches, gelcoat detachment and many others.

Tips are offered on hiring a good surveyor that would reduce lawsuits and hassles when boats are surveyed as per standards set by industry. Good surveyor should be up-to-date on technological advances and new products and would also give the customer a clear picture of just what he is getting into before he writes that check to the seller.

Health under way: Treating marine-environment wounds

Article Abstract:

Wounds sustained in marine environment are more serious than those incurred inland because this water ecosystem is infested with microorganisms, the site of the wound is comparatively more complex and envenomation requires quick identification. Certain precautions and procedures for treatment are provided.
