Nicklaus introduced his upright swing in the 1970s, and back then it was called revolutionary, and garnered criticism. A golfer recounts how his adoption of the technique made him a golfing champion. Three pros show the right and wrong ways to drill for the upright swing technique.

A problem presents itself in which the golf ball must first move uphill over a slight slope, and then run downhill to the hole. Putting is not advised because of the control problem. Using a 7-iron in a run-up shot is described as the best way to make a successful shot.
