The Honda 90 is a large four-stroke outboard engine that offers smooth performance, low exhaust emissions and good fuel economy. It produced a top speed of 46.5 mph when tested in a Scout 172 Sportfish. It will be available in Dec 1995 and will be priced between $9,300 and $9,500.

A comparison test to evaluate the advantages on speed from eleven propellers was conducted. The test showed that aluminum propellers can provide minimal gains in speed and stainless steel props such as the OMC Viper can improve both speed and acceleration.
