Horizon Marine of Marion, Massachusetts, has developed a notebook-size tracking device for boats using their Web-based tracking system, which could be installed in both raceboats and long-distance cruisers allowing the followers on dry land to follow along. The tracking device priced at $495 has to be mounted on deck to emit a clear signal and features a weight of less than 2 pounds.

Electric propulsion of boats, in addition to being better for the environment, has the advantages of flexibility in positioning components and noise and vibration reduction, resulting in great acceptance amongst all kinds of boats. Therefore more fuel alternatives including hydrogen-fueled power systems are being tried to charge the batteries.
