Lag it close!

Article Abstract:

The goal of a golfer who is faced with a long putt is to lag the ball close to the hole, rather than to try hit it in. The main reasons for adopting this strategy is that it is too difficult to read a green properly from long distances and greens do not roll true enough to keep the ball in line.
